Back to the Past....
Today we walked to the Ealy House after hearing a message from New Albany's Community Development Planner. He told us he needs to make plans for New Albany's future in 50 years..and he wants our help!!! He also told us we should look at the past to plan the future. After watching his message we charted the most important details: the who, what, why, and how. 

We started our mission to the past today with a trip to the Ealy House. This house is over 150 years old and preserved to maintain the look and feel of it's age. We learned about life long ago as we explored each room and listened to the docents describe household items. The mayor of New Albany served as a docent today too! We saw some very interesting artifacts such as a rug beater, a rope bed, a butter churn, a corn cobber, and bed pan to name a few. Over the next few weeks we will compare life from long ago to our life in the present. We will then brainstorm what the future might need to keep New Albany healthy and growing.
